Our Portland and Sandy Oregon locations are now offering winter rentals. We offer a variety of winter rental items at all of our locations ranging from Skis, Snowboards, Cross Country Skis, Snowshoes, Mountaineering equipment, Backcountry Equipment, and more! Grand Ave. Store - We rent all of your winter sports needs out of our Grand Ave location 7 days a week. We offer reservations that must be made through our website 48 hours in advance, or you can rent the day of, which is first come first serve. Call 503-233-0706 with any questions. To check current stock levels of season rentals, click the "Ski and Snowboard Rentals" icon below and scroll to the bottom of the page. "Demo" equipment must be returned to the location where it was originally rented.
Sandy Store - Open for all of your rental and outdoor adventure needs 7 days a week. We offer reservations that must be made through our website 48 hours in advance, or you can rent the day of, which is first come first serve. We still have skis and snowboard rentals available; reservations are not needed and will be accommodated on a walk-in only basis. Reservations for Touring and Mountaineering equipment are still available for reservations. Call 503-668-6500 with any questions.
Scappoose Bay - Looking for a quick and easy on-the-water rental experience? Out at our Scappoose Bay paddle sports center kayak & canoe rentals are available daily. You can reserve a spot by calling ahead at 503-397-2161 or show up the day of. Availability is limited and walk-ins are not always available. Give us a call with any questions!.
Portland Paddle Sports Center -Rentals are available for stand-up paddleboards, single or tandem inflatable kayaks, rafts or hardshell whitewater kayaks at our South East Portland location. Season Lease Program - SOLD OUT
Our season rental program is a great option for growing kids, families, those who are just getting into skiing and snowboarding, and for experienced skiers who may want to rent a powder or carving specific ski to round out their quiver. We offer recreational and premium options, for a reasonable price with lots of extra benefits!

You must be 18 or older, or be accompanied by a parent or guardian, to rent equipment. A valid ID and credit card are required for all rentals. We offer pick up after 2:00pm at our Portland location the day prior to your rental for the 1-day rate.
*Kids & youth snow gear rental prices are valid for skis & snowboards up to 130cm in length | ** Up to two demo fees (up to $120) can be deducted from the purchase price of a new pair of skis or snowboard or one demo credit (up to $60) off of one of our demo skis from the fleet. Next Adventure is the best value for renting snowshoes and mountaineering gear in Portland, Oregon. Don’t let wintery conditions keep you off the trail! Many of the NW’s amazing trails only get better when the snow falls, but you’ll need the right equipment to experience it. Strap on a pair of rental snowshoes, grab a pair of rental poles, bundle up, and enjoy the beauty and solace of a snowy Cascade hike.
If you’re out for a more serious adventure, like a summit attempt up Mt. Hood’s south side, you’re going to need more serious gear. We can outfit you with the basic safety equipment like rental crampons, rental ice axes and a climbing helmet at a fraction of the cost to buy. Of course, it will still be up to you to make sure that you or your guide has the necessary equipment and knowledge to safely get you where you’re going.
NOTE: All rentals require a deposit. Deposits are the retail value of the boat or gear.
